Newmarket Elementary School has a very active and dedicated PTA organization. We have an annual budget of approximately $20,000 that goes toward various educational materials and activities as well as events which bring our community together.

Where does your money go? Last year the PTA provided:

more than $5,000 toward field trips for all grade-levels

more than $1,500 toward homework folders and agendas

$800 toward the 3rd grade swim program

$1,000 toward drama club
-
more than $500 toward Field Day expenses

Approximately $2,000 for Unplugged Week Events

Over $10,000 in free books for students, classrooms, and our school library through Scholastic Book Fair Profits

The PTA strives to strengthen the school community through events such as Unplugged Week, which includes three evenings of performers, a school dance with a DJ, and one night includes an ice cream social, poetry slam and art show! Other Community Events include our PTA Meet and Greet at Riverworks in the fall, discounted group tickets to see the Manchester Monarchs, Game Nights at the Bloomin' Cow, Family Nights during our Book Fair, and a Spring Carnival.

Lastly, the PTA loves to show our appreciation for our Teachers. We provide a Welcome Back Breakfast in the fall and a Last Day Breakfast in June as well as three Teacher Appreciation Luncheons (pot-luck style) throughout the year.
